What is Zero-Click Search?

Zero-Click Search
A zero-click search is a query answered on the results page or inside an assistant's reply, so the user never visits a website. Zero-click behaviour is why AI visibility cannot be measured in sessions: a brand can be recommended, read and acted on without a single referrer appearing in its analytics.

01 In practice

The measurement consequence is that absence of traffic is not evidence of absence of visibility, and neither is its presence evidence of the reverse. Analytics can show a flat line while an assistant recommends a brand daily, and it can show direct traffic that was in fact an AI recommendation the user typed in later.

Prompt-level tracking exists to fill that gap. It measures at the source, by asking the engines the questions buyers ask, because there is no downstream signal to count.

The work behind it

Measure what analytics can't see.

Prompt-level reporting: where you're named, where a competitor is, and which sources built the answer.
